Radicchio

WILTED RADICCHIO

Ingredients

1 ea Radicchio

2 TBS Olive Oil

to taste Salt and Pepper

1/4 cup Italian Seasoned Bread Crumbs

to taste Red Chili Pepper Flakes (optional)


Instructions

  • Cut Radicchio in half, from top to bottom

  • Place halved Radicchio in grill fry pan over medium-high heat, or barbecue grill, with cut side facing up

  • Brush Olive Oil on the Radicchio

  • Season with salt and pepper, and red chili pepper flakes if you want

  • Sprinkle Breadcrumbs

  • Turn over and repeat olive oil, seasoning and breadcrumbs.

  • Allow to “wilt” (about 3 – 4 minutes on each side)

  • Serve hot with pork, poultry or fish.


Notes

--You can add some fine chopped garlic and shallots to the olive oil to brush onto the Radicchio.
